Text description provided by the architects. A Spa-like setting was created for this unique high quality, full service dog-grooming environment. Three functional components are contained in a confined space – retail, grooming and lounge / play-care area. Each component required it’s own function and identity, yet became an extension of the other, designed for relaxation and comfort.
To establish a unique brand and service for in the highly competitive dog-grooming industry, creating a pampering, stress-free experience for owners and their dogs, within a limited budget.
The dog spa is clean, sophisticated, and playful, with a tone-on-tone textured palette creating a sense of luxury and comfort. A fun play-care area is distinguished with custom sculpted metal hoops, softened by a pillowed cushion for lounging… perfect for a little relaxation after a day in the spa.
Subtle, over-scaled graphics and word-play help to establish strong recognizable branding. Contemporary retail fitments display just the right amount of product. These elements align to create a sense of exclusivity and indulgence.
Materials were selected for aesthetic purposes and with the canine clientele in mind. The undulating textured resin cash desk panel doesn’t scratch when Fido jumps up. The floor and wall surface finishes are all durable, cleanable, and easy to maintain.
